Energetic Check In’s

Shopping mall. Movie theatre. Thanksgiving dinner. The friend whom you really, really love who always leaves you feeling exhausted afterwards because they’re always in crisis management. . .

If these people, places and things are cringe worthy enough to keep you at home then it’s time to take back your power and get energy aware! As a lightworker, sensitive or empath you have a choice. You don’t have to get sucked into the vortex of energetic drama, or give and give to everyone but yourself any more! You CAN do something to take care of yourself – and it’s really easy.

I highly suggest doing it before venturing out into the world – whether that’s in person OR online. Because the energy is exactly the same. You’ll be amazed at how much clarity you feel about your energy – in an instant! 

Get focused, energized and aware of your boundaries in only 1 min!

Once you check in on yourself you will instantly know what needs the most attention and you can focus on that and bring it into balance.

STEP 1.  Stop and be still.
Close your eyes and take a big breath. Feel your feet on the floor or bum in your chair and let your breath go in a big ‘whooosh!’. 

Take a moment and ask yourself: what part of me needs the most attention, right now?
Don’t overthink it. The first thing that comes to mind will be the answer that you are looking for.

STEP 2.  Another big breath. This time, let your focus drop to your feet as you exhale. Slowly scan up your body, noticing any sensations or emotions that come up. Make a mental note of this for later.

STEP 3.  Bump up your vibe to reinforce your energetic self. Instead of focusing on ‘protecting’ yourself, lifting up your vibration actually makes is less likely to attract negativity or low level energy in the first place.

So take a sec and focus on something that makes you happy – or gets you laughing or feeling silly. For me its that moment in the Harry Potter movies when the kids deepest fears are faced with the ominous bogarts, who they magically transform into funnies simply with their intention (and a little wizardy action) – think spider on rollerskates!

See how it lifts your mood and creates a buffer against any negative energy!
